Cathay-Keris Films Doing Its Part for Disaster-stricken Japan
All nett proceeds from the movie premiere of UMIZARU 3 will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross Society towards the Japan Disaster 2011 Fund Singapore, 18 April 2011 - In light of the current situation in disaster-stricken Japan, Cathay-Keris Films has partnered JCI Senators Club of Singapore in an effort to raise funds towards the Singapore Red Cross Society Japan Disaster 2011 relief effort.

A charity premiere of the Japanese action thriller UMIZARU 3 will be held at Cathay Cineplex Cineleisure Orchard on 1 May 2011, Sunday at 11:30am. Tickets are priced at S$50 each (inclusive of GST). All nett proceeds will be donated to the Singapore Red Cross Society Japan Disaster 2011 Fund. Money collected for the fund will go towards the relief, rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts for survivors.

The UMIZARU Trilogy is based on Shuho Sato's popular comic of the same name. The first of the Trilogy was released in 2004 and became an instant hit. The passionate young cadets at the Japan Coast Guard Academy depicted in the first UMIZARU, have grown to become elite search-and-rescue divers. In the highly inspirational UMIZARU 3, these brave divers put their lives at risk to save civilians trapped in a natural gas plant, while a menacing typhoon approaches.
