Roman Polanski's "The Ghost Writer" gets best director award in Berlin

Polish-born director Roman Polanski (The Pianist), currently under house arrest in his Swiss chalet has won the best director prize at the Berlin Film Festival for his thriller "The Ghost Writer". The movie is about a ghostwriter (Ewan McGregor) hired to complete the memoirs of a former British prime minister (Pierce Brosnan) who uncovers secrets that put his own life in jeopardy. The thriller is scheduled to open here on 8 April.
