I know someone in our team is looking forward to this. The 1994 Wong Kar Wai's martial arts classic "Ashes of Time" with a star-studded cast including Tony Leung, the late Leslie Cheung, Brigitte Lin, Maggie Cheung, Carina Lau and Charlie Young gets a redux. "My Blueberry Nights", Wong first foray to Hollywood wasn't much of a success. Will recutting one of his classics improve his flagging reputation we wonder? In other words, how many of you are actually waiting to catch "Ashes of Time Redux"?

Shouldn't it be ashes to ashes, dust to dust ?
Wonder if WKW will screw up like Star Wars or excel with love like Evangelion / Blade Runner ....
Been checking the Cannes film websites for updates but had yet to come across the poster that you put up!
I'm pretty sure there's market in Singapore for his flicks so my friend and I been wondering who will be brave enough to bring his redux version in.
Chances are pretty slim for general screening. WKW stuff are not for the majority of the audience. Money counts for the distributors. Anyway, there will still be a chance for it to appear on DVD.
We wish you and your friends good luck!
I'll buy a movie ticket for this, otherwise one of the DVDs coming out already has 1 order from moi
lol
