In a sudden and surprise move, Disney has agreed to acquire Marvel Entertainment for $4 billion. "We believe that adding Marvel to Disney's unique portfolio of brands provides significant opportunities for long-term growth and value creation," said Disney CEO Robert Iger. Under the deal, Disney will acquire ownership of Marvel including its more than 5,000 Marvel characters. In other words, we might see Hulk or Spider-Man dancing alongside with Mr Incredible in Disney theme parks in future.
